Webinar: Breakage - Instantaneous Fragmentation Model (15-Dec-2016)

This webinar will demonstrate the use of Rocky DEM as a first principal tool to predicting accurate breakage within a crusher, and will focus primarily on the Instantaneous Fragmentation Model (IF) Rocky uses.

Prediction of comminution equipment performance is critical for efficient processes design. The large amounts of power required to grind mineral ore in the mining industry is expensive and companies seek methods to reduce this cost through further optimization of crusher designs. The IF model works with both a fracture subdivision algorithm and a breakage energy probability function, which itself is based upon a well-established model in the industry (JKMRC Ab-T10).

Agenda:

• Instantaneous Fragmentation Model
• Breakage Probability Function
• Particle Size Distribution (PSD)
• Particle Fracture
• Best Practices
• Examples
