ANSYS 2019: At the height of time.

On January 29, 2019, the new ANSYS version was released. The most important information at a glance.

New times at ANSYS: From now on, the versioning of the software is based on the current year. Punctually, ANSYS 2019 R1 was released on January 29th - with many exciting innovations and further developments. As a user, you are absolutely up to date. Or even ahead of your time.

The CADFEM team has already worked on the innovations for ANSYS 2019 R1. Our experiences and impressions for release, we are offering you and - more in detail. As always, with some tips & tricks for practical use.

The highlights in fast-forward

The outstanding innovations of ANSYS 2019 R1 in Mechanical include the heat phenomena enhanced Topology optimization , the fast switches between Implicit and Explicit Solver and the new product line ANSYS Motion for professional multi-body simulation. In the field of CFD, among other things, Mosaic networking offers completely new possibilities in the Fluent module. In electromagnetics, EMC-critical areas of PCBs can now be identified much easier. TwinBuilder (formerly Simplorer) has been massively expanded with various options for IoT and the creation of Digital Twins . Last but not least, the Discovery product family rapidly evolved, in "live" eg topology optimization and an even more comfortable presentation of results.
