On June 4, 2019, ANSYS 2019 R2 was released. The most important information at a glance.

ANSYS 2019R2 is here. The latest version of ANSYS brings not only numerous improvements and further developments but also completely new applications: These include ANSYS Motion, a convincing tool for multi-body simulation and ANSYS Speos, a simulation solution for optical design issues. 

The CADFEM team has already worked on the innovations for ANSYS 2019 R2. Our experiences and impressions for release, we are offering you and - more in detail - in our German ANSYS 2019 R2 update webinars in headings structural mechanics , fluid , electromagnetics and systems and Discovery on. As always, with some tips & tricks for practical use.

Some highlights in fast-forward

Among the most important news in ANSYS 2019 R2 are the already mentioned young tools ANSYS Motion (MKS) and ANSYS Speos (optics) as well as numerous smaller and larger developments of the proven technologies. In the field of structural mechanics, innovations for HPC applications and solver technologies can be mentioned. In the field of CFD, ANSYS 2019R2 provides improvements in the workflow of Fluent Meshing and in System Coupling . The possibilities in the ANSYS TwinBuilder (former name: Simplorer) were further expanded, including the connection to Modelica , but also as regards operability and solver technology. Last but not least, the Discovery product familyThe development of topology has been supplemented with a geometry feedback and the electrical-thermal contact as well as the possibility to couple temperature and structure have been added.
